Is there any evidence for the importance of eating an odd number of dates instead of an even number?

No current studies suggest eating dates in odd numbers. We recommend eating 3-6 dates a day to acquire their benefits. A 100g  serving of dates (about 4 dates) contains lots of antioxidants and nutrients! It also has 20% of the fiber recommended daily, which improves fat levels in the blood.
