Do dates cause asthma?

Asthma causes your airways to narrow, swell and may produce extra mucus. Some individuals may have an itchy mouth and throat after eating dates. It may also induce asthma or even an anaphylactic shock. If you have asthma, you may want to check if you are allergic to dates before eating.
